1. Art Walk
December 5th, 2014
Grab a cup of hot chocolate from Coffee Waves downtown and enjoy over 100 vendors covering 23 city blocks. It is fun for all ages and has something to offer everyone, artists selling one of a kind pieces, live music and entertainment, food, and activities for the kids.
2. Harbor Lights Festival
December 6th, 2014
Corpus Christi Bayfront will transform into a landscape of twinkling lights, wonder and merriment as the 33rd Annual Harbor Lights Festival continues its longstanding tradition in the Sparkling City by the Sea.
3. The Bend’s Christmas Mixer
December 10th, 2014
Come meet the staff and celebrate The Bend Magazine with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a 2014 year in review. Bring your business cards for a chance at gifts and prizes! Light h’ordeuvres and beverages will be served.
4. Holiday Light Spectacular
Through December 12th at 6, 7, and 8 pm
A new one-of-a-kind 3D light show produced by Los Angeles-based PaintScaping and director Philippe Bergeron, which will magically transform La Palmera’s Center Court into a winter wonderland. Holiday Light Spectacular incorporates 3D projection mapping, merging real and virtual worlds by using walls instead of screens for a canvas and aligning dazzling light and animation with architectural features.
5. Story Time with Mrs. Santa Clause at Harbor Playhouse
December 1st – December 14th, 2014 at 4:00 pm
Join Mrs. Claus for Story Time! At no cost to you, the Harbor Playhouse will be providing hot chocolate, cookies, and special vouchers for all the children who attend our Story Time. We do ask that all families reserve their seats as we want to have enough delicious Christmas treats for everyone! Children are welcome to bring their own books to read along with Mrs. Claus.
6. La posada Boat Parade
December 12th – 13th, 2014
Hosted by the Padre Island Yacht Club, Boats in the parade are well lit with festive lights, and many varied themes & decorations. The boats travel a pre-determined route though the canals of the Laguna Madre.
7. Corpus Christi 5K Santa Boogie
December 13th, 2014
Run, walk, or BOOGIE in full Santa Claus costume! Kick off the holidays with this 5k run at Cole Park off the shoreline in beautiful downtown Corpus Christi. A family friendly fun run benefitting The Salvation Army in Corpus Christi.
8. Corpus Christi Ballet Presents: The Nutcracker
December 13th, 14th, 20th, & 21st
Celebrating 40 years of continuous presentations of this well-loved holiday classic. This year’s production will feature a cast of over 150 dancers and actors, lavish scenery and costumes, some new choreography, exciting guest artists and a wealth of local talent.
9. Candy Cane Lane
December 1st, 2014 – January 1st, 2015
Whether by drive, bike or stroll, visit the different streets of Candy Cane Lane. Enjoy the twinkling lights and array of holiday displays as you hear the sounds of Christmas all around. Visit with Santa, Frosty, Rudolf… who knows you might even see the Grinch. On different nights, at the different streets, receive a cozy drink or a holiday treat that is sure to warm your heart.
10. Winter Wonderettes
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through the 21st
This seasonal celebration finds the Wonderettes entertaining at the annual Harper’s Hardware Holiday Party. When Santa turns up missing, the girls must use their talent and creative ingenuity, plus some great holiday tunes such as “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Run, Rudolph, Run,” “Winter Wonderland,” and 20 other seasonal favorites, to save their holiday party.
11. Texas Snow Book Signing
December 20th, 2014 Noon-4pm
The beautiful coffee-table book compiles the best photographs taken by both amateur and professional photographers showcasing the Christmas 2004 once-in-a-lifetime snowfall. The broad ranging collection show how the miracle storm transformed the arid Coastal Bend into a winter wonderland.
