Starting with a lot of greens, this look came together with candles and the now-so-trendy fairy lights.
Start with a faux garland from a local craft store and layer it with stems of fresh greens from a local florist. This is an easy way to build up and enlarge your garland. Greenery stems like Pine and Woolly bush add a fresh and full look! You’ll love the look and smell of fresh holiday greens. Fresh garlands can be purchased too, but these are faux. That way, the look will last and the fresh greens can be removed as needed over time.
Tall glass cylinder vases keep pillar candles of varying heights. Any color can be used to fit your look. Here, white shows off a fresh and clean look. Add as many candles as you can fit on your ledge. The more the merrier!
A huge trend right now are the LED fairy lights. These are battery operated tiny lights on a metal wire. They can be used literally anywhere, because they do not get hot. Place a strand in terrariums and add them to the mantel. Try using two strands per vase. There are two types; the small flat battery operated vs. the ones that have larger battery packs. These lights also look enchanting on tables and in varying jars and vases. You will suddenly notice this look in major magazines and department stores. These lights can be found online or at your local craft store.
Opt for a low set profile chair with some texture, like this tweed set. Puff up a furry pillow for contrast, and the cowhide pillow and run for varying interest. Cozy up next to the fire (or not, as seen here) with a plaid blanket. Add a book (or your smart phone) and a cup of coffee or cocoa and you are set for your own winter wonderland.
