I've got a family history of heart disease, how do I keep myself from getting a heart attack?
We advise our patients to stay healthful: That means getting to a gym or exercising at least four times a week. Watching their caloric intake: cutting out soft drinks and easy calories like beer and such. Eating a lot more fruits and vegetables, and following up with your primary care physician about your blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol, because that makes the biggest difference. Quitting smoking saves lives, and wearing your seatbelt saves lives. If you follow these guidelines, you will live a healthy life.
