Our 7 Most Beautiful Women nominees were treated before their magazine photoshoot to a day of well-deserved styling and pampering. Julian Gold provided the clothing, jewelry, and shoes; TVV MediSpa offered in house massages; and Josh Salinas and Mireya Medina with Josh & Co. Salon provided their makeup and hair styling expertise. Here, we tell you how to snag the looks inspired by a handful of our city’s most beautiful women, inside and out.
Erika, the first woman to arrive, donned a jewel-toned royal blue dress by Monique Lauillier. Our stylists complemented her outfit’s rich color with sparkling Swarovski accessories and matching blue satin shoes. To channel Erika’s look for every day, try a solid silk blouse in ruby red, emerald green, or a copycat sapphire blue. Jewel tones are universally flattering, and give a glow to every skin tone.
Joanna chose a black Tadashi Souji sheath dress with gold embroidered flowers, and black strappy heels. An elegant up-do provided the finishing touch for this ensemble. To take Joanna’s look to the streets, show off your own crew neck dress or blouse with a high ponytail or ballerina bun.
Angelique stepped out ready for the red carpet in a color block black and white Jovani gown with a sequined bustier and full, tulle-lined skirt. For a special occasion, channel the red carpet just like Angelique by pairing a black sequined crop top with a full, A-line skirt.
Susan wore a fitted Parker blouse with mesh cutouts and a ruffled flare at the waist. The spotlight shone on her bold blouse, framed by black 7 for All Mankind skinny jeans, and black cutout heels. Get Susan’s streamlined look by pairing a fashion-forward top with sleek skinny jeans and black or nude shoes. A solid, tailored base is the perfect foundation to show off a statement piece.
Cheryl picked a figure flattering black lace dress, a pair of open-toe Stuart Weitzman heels, and a set of dangling gemstone earrings. To get Cheryl’s romantic look, try a sheer lace dress or blouse with a built in slip or camisole. Or, choose a solid dress or blouse with a pop of lace on the hem or sleeves for a modest approach to the same ultra-feminine appeal.
Angie donned an elegant feather-printed Pucci dress with spaghetti strap shoulders. Show off the last remnants of your lingering summer tan with a South-Texas-fall approved sleeveless blouse. Bare your shoulders like Angie with a spaghetti strapped camisole, or, choose an on-trend off-shoulder top.
Last, but certainly not least, Alissa finished our shoot in style with a vibrant Trina Turk dress, dangling tassel earrings, and VC signature cork wedges. Tassel earrings are all the rage this season, and look stylish at work and on the weekend. For two very different looks, wear metallic tassel earrings with hair down for a subtle glint, or, pull hair back to show off colorful tassel earrings as the centerpiece of your ensemble.
Join us on October 6th, at the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel, to celebrate the accomplishments of these beautiful women, and witness the crowning of the winner of our charitable fundraising competition. And, in the meantime, don’t hesitate to draw inspiration from their style – these leaders of our community are women worth imitating!
