1. Grace Presbyterian Church
Perhaps one of the most family-friendly locations on the list, the field in front of Grace Presbyterian Church is abundant in bluebonnets. With parking provided by the church lot, it’s easy to see why this would be mom’s choice for getting photos taken safely. The flowers get a little spotty behind the building, but if you wander around to the back you will find the church playground – a perfect way to get the kids to behave for pictures.

2. Asbury Church
Down the road from Grace Presbyterian, is another Church with a blooming bluebonnet backdrop. Although the field is not as thick as the former, we highly recommend this location as it has similar benefits such as parking and easy access to the flowers.

3. Interstate 37 & Highway 77
Take a drive west to see an array of bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush and a rainbow of other wildflowers line the interstate. We recommend hopping in the the slow lane to marvel at the sight as oppose to stopping to run through the field, as the fast moving traffic in this area causes too much risk.

4. Interstate 37 & Violet Rd.
Violet! You’re turning violet, Violet – off Violet Rd. that is! I-37 has been a reliable source for thick plots of bluebonnets for decades. Word to the wise – drivers are traveling at speeds up to 65 mph, so think twice before pulling over, especially if you have small children or animals.

5. Copano Causeway
At the north end of this Rockport causeway is a beautiful spread of bluebonnets. As you make your way there, keep your eyes open as the drive will be blanketed with stunning yellow wildflowers such as Green Thread, Tiny Tim and Yellow Flax.
